History of Night Department of HSING-WU COLLEGE

Mr. Huai-tsu Ku, our school founder, established the school to meet the requirements of national policies, encouragement for private schools and the development of vocational education.

The school was approved to establish on July 15, 1965 and followed by school building constructions. We were approved to recruit students on Oct. 21, 1965 so the date was our first anniversary.

In the initial stage, there were 4 departments in 5-year college : Accounting, Business Administration, International Trade and Tourism. In the fall next year ( year 1966), there was Department of Banking and Insurance. In 1971, there was 2-year evening school , which took 3 years to complete the courses, including Department of Accounting and Department of Banking and Insurance. In 1987, the Department of International Trade was established and the Department of Tourism was established in 1990. Next year, the Department of Business Administration was also established. Furthermore, our school was approved to establish “ Junior College—School of Continuing education” and it was changed to “ College of Technology” in Aug, 2000 and recruited students for 2-year college of Continuing education. In Aug, 2001, we established “ 2-year college—school of Continuing Education” and set “4-year college—school of Continuing Education” in Aug, 2002. So far, we have 5 academic programs in the Evening school and the school of Continuing Education: 2-year junior college, 2-year college, 4-year college, 2-year junior college in Continuing Education and 2-year college in Continuing Education, in another word, our students are in school 7 days a week.

In our school, there is the beautiful and greenery campus. In the near future, we will recruit the experienced faculty and upgrade the teaching facility to reach the best achievement.
